Message to Planned Parenthood from Lila Rose: We’re Just Getting Started Reply

Beautiful things are happening throughout cyberspace and across our nation on the pro-life front these days. I’ve never seen so much enthusiasm for the dignity of life and protecting the rights of innocent unborn children as I have witnessed over the last couple of months. The 500,000 strong who were present at the March for Life in Washington last week are a case in point.

The best thing about it is that, according to some, we’re just getting started.

That is the opinion of Live Action President, Lila Grace Rose, who deserves a lot of the credit for the recent push to defund Planned Parenthood and eventually overturn the Roe v. Wade decision.

Lila’s website, LiveAction.org, “is dedicated to building a culture of life and ending abortion, the greatest human rights injustice of our time.” They use “new media to educate the public about the humanity of the unborn and investigative journalism to expose threats against the vulnerable and defenseless.”

Lila, who’s a devout Catholic, founded Live Action at the age of 15. She’s since become famous for her 2011 undercover videos aimed at exposing Planned Parenthood for covering up or not reporting sex trafficking, rape, and sexual abuse of minors. One of the clinics she exposed in Birmingham, Alabama, was put on probation for a year because of her videos. Incidentally, Planned Parenthood itself reported that 2011 was the worst year in the history of the organization, thanks, in part, to the efforts of pro-life apostle’s, like Lila.

Here’s how she does it:

What’s the Biltrix?

Last spring, when news of Lila’s video’s hit the mainstream press, an ethical debate arose among Catholic moralists: Is it ethical to use deceit in order to extract condemning information? Ironically, Planned Parenthood and other pro-abortion groups were not making a fuss over this issue. After all, the evidence was clear; they could not point the finger at someone else for lying at this point.

By focusing on the question of the ethics of lying, pro-life Catholics like Germain Grisez, shifted the focus off of the Planned Parenthood debacle (what we should have been discussing at the time). For weeks, the ensuing debate centered on questions like this one:

If you were harboring Jews in your attic during World War II, and the SS came to your home demanding to know if there were Jews in your attic, would it be okay to tell a lie and say No.

Grisez, of course, says that it would be unethical to say No.

Well, thanks for derailing the conversation. Now, getting back to the issue, we all know that Planned Parenthood is a machine. It will stop at no costs to get tax payer funding to support its mission to kill unborn children and promote the culture of death. Lila Rose and Live Action have successfully brought this point to more people’s attention on both sides of the debate. As a result, Planned Parenthood took a big hit (and there’s more to come, because Live Action’s just getting started).

Isn’t that what we should be talking about?
