This morning I was happy to learn that Biltrix was nominated for this prestigious award — The Reader Appreciation Award — from God-fearing Missionary, Walter Bright.
I really enjoy Walter’s blog, Where are you… Where are you going, for being always positive, always uplifting, full of missionary zeal and inspiring love of God. Thank you for your blog, Walter, and thanks for the award!
Now the rules for accepting this award are as follows:
- Add a picture of the award to your blog post.
- Thank the blogger who nominated you and include a link to their blog.
- Nominate 5-10 other Bloggers and inform those selected that they have been nominated.
Two down one to go. But if you don’t mind, please, excuse me for a moment. I’m off to Chick-fil-A for breakfast, because it’s Wednesday (Show Your Support for Chick-fil-A Day), I want to beat the lines at the counter, and I’m hungry for a spicy chicken biscuit. I’ll be back soon… I promise. In the meantime, enjoy this video:
Okay, I’m back. It was a good chicken biscuit (restaurant and drive-thru were packed). I hope you enjoyed the gratuitous video.
Now, in appreciation to all our readers, I wish I could nominate you all. However, the rules limit me to 10 nominees. This is not an easy choice to make. Below the list of my nominees for the coveted Reader Appreciation Award, I will include a list of other wonderful bloggers, whom I would also like to receive the award. Maybe one of those whom I am nominating for this award, will include them in her list of nominees (Okay, Mom?)… Yes, there’s a trick up my sleeve.
On behalf of Fathers Jason, Jose, and Joseph (who should be writing for Biltrix again soon, after they are back from their demanding summer assignments), I nominate the following appreciated readers for the Readers Appreciation Award:
- Comments From Cathy
- The [Urban Wildlife] Interface
- My Name Is Marcy
- Reinkat
- This Blogging Thing
- Apronhead
- Two Heads Are Better Than One
- The Peanut Gallery
- 1 Catholic Salmon
- LifeVigil — That’s my Mom
Okay… There’s method to my madness. There happen to be 10 more that I want to receive this award. Now Mom belongs on the above list because she’s been one of Biltrix’s readers from the beginning. Back in June, I helped her start her own blog. LifeVigil was her idea. Right now it just consists of links to each day’s top Pro-Life stories. Once she gets a few projects out of the way, which she will soon, She’ll beef up her blog a bit. So far, she’s been quite the prolific blogger (in more ways that one) and she’s just getting started.
Now, that was not just a gratuitous plug for LifeVigil. In order to accept the award, she needs to nominate 5-10 other bloggers for the award (I wonder who they’ll be???) and she’ll need some help with that.
At any rate, I would like to recognize 10 other wonderful bloggers and appreciated readers of mine, all of whom I think also deserve this award (if only I could nominate 20 instead of 10).
- Lame Housewife
- 8 Kids and a Buisness
- Catholic1
- Gracie’s Quest
- Foraging Squirrel
- Catholic Nomad
- My Hope Box
- Keep Life Legal
- Fraangelico Institute
- Public Catholic
All of these are excellent blogs. Please check them all out!
A final appreciation to all RoB’s (Readers of Biltrix). Thanks again to Walter Bright @ Where are you… Where are you going: I would have definitely included him in my list of nominees, were it not that he already has the award — after all, he nominated us. I also feel the need to mention SR… Her blog has recently been removed. I was always touched by her blog. I hope to see her back on-line again and wish her and her family the very best, always. Know that you are in my prayers.
Special thanks also to RoB’s who follow us on Facebook and Twitter: Biltrix really appreciates your support!
Last but not least:
Keep on Blogging for the Love of God and the extension of Christ’s Kingdom! God bless you all!
“And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live by the Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit.” — Galatians 5:24-25
I wish Chick-Fil-A had outlets in Canada, for obvious reasons, but also because spicy chicken biscuit sounds yummy. Next Support Chick-Fil-a day, please have one for me as well. Great choices for the award. Thanks for the honourable mention. There’s alot of good reading here. Blogging for the love of God is a wonderful thing!
I will definitely have another Chick-fil-A spicy chicken biscuit on your behalf, now that you have made me an offer I couldn’t possibly refuse. And [FYI…] it was not just honorable mention. I really felt I was in a bind when I realized I had 20 strong contenders — like yourself. Then I realized, Mom needs someone to pass the award on to or else she can’t accept the award (and since she’s always been a reader and commenter, she has as much a claim to it as anyone else). In short, I’ll be conferring the award vicariously through LifeVigil. I hope that’s not an illicit move.
Let’s hear it for spicy chicken biscuits! Like a modern-day Eusebius, but with a slightly different mode of getting a message across. 🙂
I got a chuckle out of this, but I have to be honest. I don’t quite get the connection between Eusebius and spicy chicken biscuits. Would you mind filling me in, if it’s not too much to ask?
Ha! It was a bit of a stretch from a very tired brain. Had this image of Eusebius whipping out what would become the Nicene creed to battle the Arian heresy and you whipping out a couple dollars for a spicy chicken biscuit in the same vein. 🙂
That just cracked me up! Thanks for the laugh! It’s an honor to be somewhat remembered — somewhat, that is — with the likes of such great men. Have a good one!
Some saints use words, others, dare I say it, chicken biscuits. It could happen …
Congratulations!
Many thanks!
