Don’t take this with a grain of salt. If we take him at his word and follow his example, we have to be a holy nuisance and annoy the [you-know-what] out of people. Literally.

Of course, you can confess your sins to God anytime you want. And God forgives you if you are truly sorry.

I recall standing in line at a Starbucks waiting for a double shot of espresso, when a young man behind me asked if I was a priest. I told him yes and he proceeded then and there to pour out his life’s story, how he had tried everything (not referring to the menu) and it had all left him empty. I asked him if he had ever sincerely tried living the faith. He had not.
At breakfast this morning a friend asked me my opinion on the recent news stories on voter fraud — whether I thought they were true.
“It really doesn’t matter,” I told him. “It’s over. Time to move on to things that really matter. Besides, ….”
Do you know any kids who haven’t been to Church lately? Tell them to watch this.
