Today’s Electoral Map Not Looking Good for Obama’s Children of the Future 12

When you look up in the sky and can’t distinguish the debris in the air from storm-tossed little birds, you know it’s about to get ugly.

The electoral map this morning was even less reassuring.

Then this.

I turned on my computer, maybe for the last time this week, once the power goes out, and learned…

I learned that if Romney gets elected he is just going to let polar bears and sick people die.

What’s sad about this video is not the astonishing creep factor or the incredibly depressing lyrics, brought to you by the very beacon of hope and change, but the fact that children are singing them, and that they are blaming YOU.

The tactic of exploiting children’s innocence is nothing new to desperate political campaigns. As we’ve seen before, scare tactics can be very effective. For instance, everyone remembers the name Barry Goldwater, not for anything he actually did, of course, but for this.

Thanks to the Lyndon B. Johnson campaign.

My question — and I suppose I will know the answer a little over a week from now — is do you think the president is digging himself a deeper hole with these recent adds, or will enough people actually be swayed to reelect the man because of them? If it turns out to be the latter, then I’m really scared for our future.

If the latter fails to come true, I’ll post a video of myself singing this:

(Just kidding… )(Maybe…)

  1. I watched the video before reading your post and all I could think was why would anyone exploit children in such a manner and why would you let your child participate in this? For me, this is depressing not because of the bleak predictions, but because of the exploitation of the kids. Can they stoop any lower? Would Obama let his children participate in this? Prayers for your safety in the next few days, my friend.

    • It kind of gives new meaning to the words “negative campaign ad,” doesn’t it. I really don’t get this one or how they think it will appeal to anyone.

Thanks for your prayers, Terry. I think we’ll have no problem staying safe indoors. God bless!

      • Oh, I’m sure it will still appeal to someone.

We’re hunkering down up here too, believe it or not. Toronto’s supposed to get some of the effects of Frankenstorm. Bottled water was flying out of Costco at lunchtime when I went. We’re getting the system you’re getting and it’s colliding with another system from the north of us. The wind is really picking up and the temps are dropping really fast. Ah, winter….

    • Hi, Servus. Unfortunately, it’s a fair comparison. It worries me to think the man could get reflected. I’m not sure what worries me more, the turn things I’ll take in the next 4 years or the mindset of the near 50% of our population that want him reflected.

      • James, I know what you mean. It is a sad state of affairs that I completely underestimated in it’s success among our countrymen. I always thought of these fringe groups as small, unimportant factions. That will teach me to assume anything again!

    • You just can’t be sure what the school environment has in store for kids nowadays. Hats off to you for taking on that task for the good of your children.

Sorry for the delay responding. No electricity in town since 4:00 yesterday — had to go to McyD’s to connect. Hope you all manged to stay dry and did not see too much damage.

      God bless!

  2. I find t his hard to watch. Thank God I have no children now, but if I did I would home school. Although I hear that too is being watched as another subject to regulate.

    • It makes sense to some degree that home school education would be government regulated, if the students are to receive an accredited diploma for their studies. It also makes sense that the government would take advantage of it’s influence in this regard to try and force it’s educational criteria and agenda, which is one if the very thins home schooling parents are trying to avoid, into the home school curriculum.

  3. Their eyes say it all. Other countries fell and children were used against their parents in the downfall. Scripture states this is coming: Luk 12:53 NKJV – “Father will be divided against son and son against father, mother against daughter and daughter against mother, mother-in-law against her daughter-in-law and daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law.”
Mic 7:6 NKJV – For son dishonors father, Daughter rises against her mother, Daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law; A man’s enemies [are] the men of his own household.
