What is your favorite Advent Hymn?

Veni Emmanuel!
Not that I know tuns and tuns of Advent Carols, but here are a few to vote on:
Veni, Veni Emmanuel:
O Come, O Come Emmanuel, by Enya:
Creator Alme Siderum (Creator of the Stars at Night) — gets really good around 45 sec.:
Lo How a Rose E’er Blooming:
O Come Divine Messiah:
Of the Father’s Love Begotten:
Any write-ins you’d like to share to get us in the mood?

Thanks a lot Art! I am going to annex this to the original post to make sure that people will see it. God bless!
Happy to help – there’s more there than you ever wanted to know.
Awesome. Thanks for sharing!
Glad you liked it. God bless!
My husband and father-in-law are both named Emmanuel. This makes Mass during Advent an adventure in keeping a straight face, at times. Thank God we have a priest with a delightful sense of humor! Peace be with you — Kelly
Peace be with you too, Kelly!
Oh my gosh! Certainly keeps the merriment in your family’s Christmas! 🙂
I vote for Lo How a Rose E’er Blooming.
That’s my all time favorite too. O Come, O Come Emmanuel is a very close second. The rest are not far behind.
I would find it really difficult to choose between Enya, Creator of the Stars at Night and Veni, Veni Emmanuel. Glorious music.
They are all so good. I’d have a hard time choosing too.
Veni Veni Emmanuel as arranged by the 1976 country music songwriter of the year is beautifully, almost chillingly done:
Best wishes for a joyous Holiday.

Thanks, Keith! Best Holliday wishes to you too!
Loved the Enya version of “Emmanuel”, also the annexed version that Keith provided. But I am glad that I don’t really have to choose–I enjoyed each and every one of them.
I agree. I vote for all of them!
Blessings for your continued Advent Journey!
…Come O Lord by the Dameans…and …Holy is Your Name…
They have such incredible imagery and resonate with me all year round but especially during Advent!
Wonderful! Thanks for sharing these, Cathy.
My pleasure! What a wonderful way to recall the joys of Advent! Thanks!
Thanks for the music and especially for NOT posting a video for “Grandma got run over by a reindeer.” God bless!
Grandma got run over… my all time unfavorite too.
“Lo, How a Rose E’er Blooming…”
One of my favorites, I confess.
Wish I’d seen these earlier, but …it IS still the Christmas season, so I’m not TOO mad at myself.
😉
Merry Christmas, James!
