Returning 8

Original_painting_of_the_Divine_Mercy_by_Eugeniusz_Kazimirowski_in_1934_Wikimedia_Commons_40_CnaSo, for a while now I’ve had the inspiration to write again. I just wasn’t moved to write about anything specific. Today, though, I got inspired to read – specifically this:

When Jesus saw the crowds, he went up the mountain; and after he sat down, his disciples came to him. Then he began to speak, and taught them, saying:

“Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

“Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.

“Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.

“Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.

“Blessed are the merciful, for they will receive mercy.

“Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.

“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.

“Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

“Blessed are you when people revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account.Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.”

And that’s it, folks. Sometimes, we just need to turn back to the fundamentals. Today it hit me, it’s one of those times.

Following our longstanding custom, a gratuitous video. Because it’s Tuesday:

Thanks for dropping by…

  1. Wow!!! Great to hear from Biltrix!! So I’m interested in knowing who the writer is. James Stone? Fr. Jason Smith? Or some other contributing author?

    Fr. Andrew

    • Hey Matthew! Great to hear from you too! I was checking out your origami the other day on that other social media platform I don’t use much any more (except some occasional lurking from my wife’s account).
