“Gaudete in Domino semper” – Rejoice in the Lord always! (Philippians 4:4)
Although this song is technically a Christmas hymn (Gaudete! Christus est Natus!), and we are not quite there yet, I thought it would be good to share this one today, to get us all spiritually looking forward to that moment.
“Gaudete in Domino semper” – Rejoice in the Lord always!
“These words of St. Paul open the Holy Mass of the third Sunday of Advent, which is therefore called Gaudete Sunday. The Apostle exhorts Christians to rejoice because the coming of the Lord – that is, his glorious return – is certain and won’t be long in coming.” — Pope Benedict XVI, Gaudete Sunday 2007
Beautiful… I don’t think I’ve heard that before. Thank you.
I’m glad you liked it, Art. Advent is quickly drawing to a close. I hope you have a beautiful and Merry Christmas. God bless!
Thank you and may your Christmas responsibilities be filled with joy. Blessings.

Thanks, Gracie. Have a blessed Christmas!
you too!!
Good stuff, James! I, too, was unfamiliar with that one.
Hope all is well with you, partner: you’ve been unusually quiet of late….
Hey, JTR! Sorry for not getting back to you sooner. I was a little tied up, as I explained in today’s post.
Enjoy your last 2Days of Advent!
