Thanks to three Super-Bloggers, 8 Kids and a Business, The Rainey View, and 1 Catholic Salmon, who each nominated Biltrix for the Blog of the Year Award, we’ve now achieved 5-Star-Status!
Biltrix humbly and sincerely thanks all three of you, and all of you bloggers, readers, commenters — you all mean very much to us.
I also want to humbly emphasize humbly, as we have decided to stop at 5-stars. That empty star on the logo, which we could never fill, is for Jesus, to whom we wish to dedicate our first full calendar year in blogging.
It has been a pleasure getting to know all of you, reading your wonderful blogs. After a brief respit during the Christmas Holiday Season, it is good to be back in (semi-) full swing again. That said…
Once again, here are the rules for the award.
1 Select the blog(s) you think deserve the ‘Blog of the Year 2012′ Award
2 Write a blog post and tell us about the blog(s) you have chosen — there’s no minimum or maximum number of blogs required — and ‘present’ them with their award.
3 Please include a link back to this page ‘Blog of the Year 2012′ Award — http://thethoughtpalette.co.uk/our-awards/blog-of-the-year-2012-award/ and include these ‘rules’ in your post (please don’t alter the rules or the badges!)
4 Let the blog(s) you have chosen know that you have given them this award and share the ‘rules’ with them
5 You can now also join our Facebook group — click ‘like’ on this page ‘Blog of the Year 2012′ Award Facebook group and then you can share your blog with an even wider audience
6 As a winner of the award — please add a link back to the blog that presented you with the award — and then proudly display the award on your blog and sidebar … and start collecting STARS!!!
When you begin you will receive the ’1 star’ award — and every time you are given the award by another blog — you can add another star!
Yes – that’s right – there are stars to collect!
Unlike other awards which you can only add to your blog once – this award is different!
When you begin you will receive the ‘1 star’ award – and every time you are given the award by another blog – you can add another star!
There are a total of 6 stars to collect.
Which means that you can check out your favourite blogs – and even if they have already been given the award by someone else – you can still bestow it on them again and help them to reach the maximum 6 stars!

Thanks Keith!
By the way, would you be interested in participating in a chat / debate forum between “theists” and atheists? Please, let me know.

I don’t mind. As you know, I hold no hostility toward religion in general, though I am a fierce opponent of jihadism. And as a history buff, I recognize the role that various Christian beliefs played in America’s founding.
I’d be happy to participate — but I may be greeted by militant atheists with a sense of “hey, you’re supposed to be on our side!”
Given a preference, I’d prefer a forum as opposed to an instant-message-style interaction.
Best wishes.

It is an instant message style forum but most of those who post treat it more as a forum, with moderate length to lengthy posts and they don’t expect instant responses. There are many different types believers/nonbelievers. Not all atheists are hostile toward religion, although some are. I’ve been with the group for a while as an administrator and I’d say the moral and behavior is good. You would be welcome there. If you are interested and you are on Facebook, here is a link to the group (Does God Exist?). Thanks, Keith.

Though I know you decided to stop at 5 stars, I couldn’t help but nominate your blog for Blog of the Year 2012, because I enjoy reading it so much.
Thank you for writing posts that inform me of the views and challenges facing the Catholic faith.
May God bless all my brothers with an increase of the wisdom and understanding of the Holy Spirit.
