Pope Francis meets life-size chocolate Pope Francis
Made with 1.5 tons of cocoa, the life size chocolate replica of our Supreme Pontiff greeted the pope today. Vatican sources have not have not indicated whether Pope Francis plans to share the chocolate version of himself with the papal household or enjoy it all by himself, although it has been confirmed he cannot have his mega-chocolate self and eat it too.
Chocolatier Mirco Della Vecchia, who spent 30 days crafting the chocolate statue with a team of his students, indicates that they will donate another 1.5 tons of chocolate to the Catholic charity organization Caritas.
